Site Engineer

Olli Hellgren is an IT engineer who, while working at Culmentor, has served as a site engineer on multiple projects and supported the company’s staff with everyday IT issues. Olli has played a significant role in the development and implementation of a new product, ERT measurement, and will continue to be in a key role in future assignments related to the product.

Juha Kääriäinen

Principal Designer

Juha (MSc, Structural Engineering) is responsible for lead design tasks in both client and in-house projects. With several decades of work experience covering nearly all industrial sectors, Juha is particularly experienced in energy and forest industry projects.

Jukka Hellgren

CEO

Jukka is a civil engineer specialized in road and water construction and holds an MSc in Project Management. Jukka is one of the founders of Culmentor and currently serves as the company’s CEO. With extensive experience in energy construction, Jukka has been involved in hydropower projects since the late 1980s. In the nuclear power sector, Jukka contributed to a project that began regular electricity production in 2023.

Jari Tirri

Senior Expert

Jari has over 30 years of experience from supervising exceptionally demanding concrete construction projects. Jari is responsible for the supervision of both client and in-house projects at Culmentor and he has successfully led several hydropower plant renovations. With a South Karelian spirit and extensive experience in the construction industry, Jari provides a strong foundation for successfully delivering even the most challenging projects.

Jaakko Seppälä

Senior Expert

Jaakko holds a master's degree in construction engineering and has over 30 years of experience in both the construction industry and EU project management. At Culmentor, Jaakko is responsible for project development and supervision. Jaakko also has entrepreneurial experience in developing and implementing environmental monitoring solutions both in Finland and internationally, from North America to Eastern Europe.

Heidi Honkanen

Senior Expert, Partner

Heidi is Culmentor’s EU funding expert with a MSc degree in geography. Heidi joined the company in 2006 and is in charge of managing and implementing our EU-funding related commissions. Heidi is a specialist in international projects and has written and consulted numbers of grant-winning applications for different consortiums and funding programmes.

Jarkko Enqvist

Culmentor’s representative in Sweden

Jarkko holds a master's degree in economics and is responsible for the operations of Culmentor‘s sister company in Sweden. Jarkko has lived in Sweden since the 1970s. As a bilingual individual, Jarkko is able to act as a bridge between Finland and Sweden, helping our clients find suitable partners and companies.

Erkki Palonen

Senior Expert

Erkki holds a master's degree in engineering from Tampere and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Turku. Erkki is responsible for project management at Culmentor. With nearly 20 years of experience in nuclear power construction, Erkki has been involved in the construction of the OL3 power plant as well as leading the planning and construction of Posiva’s waste disposal projects. Additionally, Erkki specializes in risk management and is a member of the board of the Finnish Risk Management Association.

Olli Könni

Site Engineer

Olli Könni is a civil engineer by training, and in Culmentor’s projects he is responsible for project engineer duties. Olli has been working as a project manager, product development, customer service and project engineer since 2012. Currently he works as a project engineer in Stora Enso's Oulu O750 project. As a member of the construction works procurement team, his task is to participate in the procurement and maintenance of additional works for contracts.

Juho Pulkkinen

Senior Expert

Juho is a construction engineer with a specialization in production technology from Seinäjoki and is responsible for site execution and supervision in project management and site management roles in Southern Ostrobothnia. Juho has work experience since 2015 in residential, commercial, and industrial construction. Juho is involved in the construction project for Lakeuden Etappi's recycling stations, where he was responsible for project management, scheduling, and other site-related technical tasks.
