Underwater construction

Underwater construction

Do you need structures to that stand up to the next generation?

Underwater assets are notoriously difficult to fix. In flowing water, meaningful, long-lasting repairs have earlier seemed to be almost impossible.

Together with our partly owned subsidiary, UWR – Underwater Repairing Oy, we have cracked the problem. We have developed the novel UWR mortar and its dedicated installation method, which enable us to carry out durable repairs in flowing water, on the waterline, or fully submerged. The solution handles everything from re-pointing stone facings and anchoring bolts to patching small concrete elements, all without cofferdams or lengthy shutdowns.

We couple this solution with our own diving team, broad hydraulic engineering expertise and staff members with long careers on solving underwater puzzles.

Where has it proved itself? Our reference projects include restoring the stone facings at the Inkeroinen power plant, structural repairs at the Pankakoski power plant, and several smaller hydropower and water infrastructure sites.
