{"id":1255,"date":"2022-10-18T09:39:16","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T09:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.culmentor.com\/?p=1255"},"modified":"2022-10-18T10:59:57","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T10:59:57","slug":"eun-innovaatiorahastolta-97-miljoonaa-euroa-culmentorin-konsultoimalle-hankkeelle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.culmentor.com\/en\/eun-innovaatiorahastolta-97-miljoonaa-euroa-culmentorin-konsultoimalle-hankkeelle\/","title":{"rendered":"97 million EUR EU Innovation Fund grant awarded to Culmentor\u2019s client project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurahoitusneuvonta.fi\/ohjelmat\/innovaatiorahasto\">The EU Innovation Fund<\/a> is one of the world\u2019s largest funding programmes for the demonstration of\ninnovative low-carbon technologies and will contribute to greenhouse gas reduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project in Sweden <a href=\"https:\/\/projectair.se\/\">Project Air<\/a> The Project Air was awarded a 97 million EUR grant in the Innovation Fund\u2019s Large scale call in 2022. Project Air is an industrial collaboration to build a unique production facility for sustainable methanol in Stenungsund, Sweden. Project Air captures and utilizes carbon dioxide, which would otherwise be emitted into the atmosphere, to produce sustainable methanol. This is then used as a raw material for chemical products which are in turn used in a variety of applications. At full capacity Project Air will reduce global CO2 emissions by approximately 500,000 tons compared with today\u2019s level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is implemented in collaboration between the companies Perstorp, Fortum and Uniper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Innovation Fund\u2019s 2023 Large scale call opened in November 2022 and will close in March 2023.
