Genetta Climbing Shoe receives a Horizon 2020 SME Instrument grant

GenettaCulmentor’s client, Finnish SME Altiax Oy has won a Phase 1 grant from Horizon 2020 SME Instrument for the commercialization and international market introduction of the Genetta climbing shoe. The competition for the grants was high, only 9% of the 2223 proposals submitted were selected for funding.

Genetta offers a safe, ergonomic and fast way to climb wooden, metal or composite poles and living trees. The safety, usability and durability aspects of Genetta offer great benefits compared to the shoes currently available on the market. In the SME Instrument project, Genetta will be presented to users and stakeholders in seven European countries and developed further in different environments.

The SME Instrument proposal was created in cooperation between Altiax and Culmentor. “Writing the proposal is a challenging process, because the product and business must be presented from different perspectives in a concise format, while keeping things simple enough for everyone to understand. The proposal was polished to the last detail with Culmentor’s demanding and experienced professionals and I’m very proud of the outcome” comments Matti Pölönen, developer of Genetta.
